Terms of Use
In plain words: your photos are yours. Use Nesora only with photos you have the right to use. Pro is bought through Apple or Google, who handle renewals, cancellations and refunds. Face recognition and text reading can make mistakes, and Nesora is not a backup service — keep your originals safe.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the publisher of Nesora described below. By downloading or using the Nesora app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
2. Who we are

3. Your licence to use Nesora
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Nesora on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law allows this despite this restriction. We (and our licensors) keep all rights in the app, its design, name and logo.
4. Your content
You own your photos, names, notes and everything else you add (“your content”). Nesora processes your content on your device only to provide the app’s features. Because we have no server that receives your content, we do not acquire any rights to it, and we cannot access, restore or recover it for you.
5. Acceptable use
- Use Nesora only with photos and documents you have the right to use.
- Respect the people in your photos. Where the law requires it, obtain their consent (or a parent’s or guardian’s consent for children) before using face features with their images or sharing images of them.
- Do not use Nesora to identify, track, monitor or harass anyone, or for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not try to interfere with the app, bypass its purchase or lock features, or misuse its components.
You are responsible for what you choose to share or export from the app.
6. Free and Pro
The free version includes the timeline, on-device face scanning and grouping, up to two people profiles, the Archive and other basic features. Nesora Pro unlocks unlimited people profiles and the features marked Pro in the app (such as Generations Mirror, Two Timelines, Face time-lapse, Memorial space, batch date shift and Photobook PDF). We may improve, change or add features over time. If we remove a significant Pro feature you paid for, we will try to offer a reasonable alternative.
7. Purchases and subscriptions
- Through Apple or Google. Pro is sold through the App Store or Google Play. Payment, billing, taxes and your purchase history are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. Prices are shown in the store before you buy.
- Pro Yearly is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew in your App Store or Google Play account settings before the renewal date (Apple requires at least 24 hours before). Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro remains active until the end of the period already paid.
- Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase for as long as the app is offered for your platform and you keep using the same store account.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves. Nothing in these Terms limits refund or withdrawal rights you have under consumer law.
- Restore purchases: use “Restore previous purchases” in the app to restore Pro on a new or reinstalled device with the same store account.
- Price changes for subscriptions follow Apple’s and Google’s rules, which include notifying you in advance.
8. Accuracy and backups
- Automatic results can be wrong. Face detection and recognition, grouping, the “not a real person” filter, text recognition (OCR), document classification, duplicate detection and calculated ages and dates can be inaccurate or incomplete. Please check results that matter to you.
- Nesora is not a backup service. Nesora does not copy your original photos to any server. Keep your originals and your own backups safe. If you delete photos from your library, lose your device or delete the app’s data, Nesora cannot recover them.
9. Third-party components and open source
Nesora uses components from other parties, including Apple frameworks (such as Vision and VisionKit) on iOS, Google ML Kit and Google Play services on Android, the SFace face-recognition model (OpenCV Zoo, Apache License 2.0), open-source Flutter packages and open-source fonts. These components are provided under their own licences, which apply to them. Licence notices are included with the app or are available on request from lienhe@nesora.app.
10. If you got Nesora from the App Store
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims), or for third-party intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where these Terms are silent.
11. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, Nesora is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so they may not all apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, photos, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Nesora. Our total liability for any claim relating to Nesora is limited to the amount you paid for Nesora in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Termination
You can stop using Nesora at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. When the licence ends, you must stop using the app. Sections 4, 8, 11, 12 and 15 continue to apply. Your content remains on your device until you delete it.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms, for example when features or the law change. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or on this website before they take effect. If you keep using Nesora after changes take effect, the new Terms apply.
15. Governing law and disputes
