Delete your Nesora data
Good to know first: Nesora has no accounts and no Nesora server holding your personal data. Everything Nesora creates — previews, face data, profiles, notes, text read from images — is stored on your device. So deleting it happens on your device, and you are in control.
Delete everything Nesora has stored
- Open Nesora.
- Go to Settings › Privacy.
- Tap Delete all Nesora data and confirm.
This deletes: Nesora’s database (face data, people profiles, notes and memorial notes, text read from images, Archive drawers, dates you set), the preview images, and the photos you imported from ZIP files or scanned into Nesora.
This does not delete: the original photos in your phone’s photo library. Nesora never deletes or modifies them.
Delete one person
- Open the People tab and tap the person.
- Open the profile menu and choose Delete profile, then confirm.
The profile (name, dates, notes) is deleted. Photos are not deleted; the faces become unnamed again. To remove all face data, use “Delete all Nesora data” above.
Remove a wrongly matched face
In the person’s profile, tap a face that is not this person and choose Not this person. Nesora removes it from the profile and learns from the correction.
Uninstall the app
Deleting Nesora from your phone makes iOS or Android delete the app’s private folder, including everything listed above. Your original photos stay in your library.
Device backups (iCloud / Google)
If your phone backs up apps to iCloud Backup or Google backup, an older backup may still contain Nesora’s folder. Those backups belong to your Apple or Google account — you can manage or delete them in your device settings (iPhone: Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Backups; Android: Settings › Google › Backup, or in Google One).
Purchases are not affected
Deleting data or uninstalling does not cancel a Pro subscription and does not remove a Lifetime purchase. Your purchase belongs to your App Store or Google Play account: reinstall Nesora and use Restore previous purchases. To stop a Pro Yearly subscription, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
Data held by others
- Apple / Google keep your purchase history and, on Android, Google ML Kit diagnostic data, under their own privacy policies. Use their tools to manage it.
- Emails you sent us: ask us to delete them at lienhe@nesora.app.
